at a court held 9.8.1683 Rich Appleton was admitted to him and his heirs to one tenement with a garden adjoining with appurtenances late into three divided and also to 3p of land late parcel of a curtilage pertaining to the messuage in which Thos Pryor once inhabited with a house and at the last court it appeared that the said Rich Appleton surrendered by the hands of Sam Burton instead of the bailiff in the presence of Humph Ruggles and Hen Hatch junior etc the premises to the use of Jn Taylor his heirs and assigns forever and he did not come therefore proclamation was made etc now at this court came the said Jn Taylor and was admitted etc and gave fine and fealty respited
