at a court here held 20.3.1684 Jane Josselin widow and relict of Ralph Josselin clerk was admitted for and during the term of her life to one croft of customary land called Stulpes adjoining a certain close called Spriggs Marsh according to the effect and tenor of the last will of the said Ralph her husband dated 1.6.1683 the tenor concerning the premises in the following words I give to my wife Spriggs Marsh also copyhold lands called Stulpes lying enclosed by the said marsh during the term of her natural life and after her decease to Eliz one of the daughters of the said Ralph wife of mr Gilb Smith her heirs and assigns forever and the said Jane was admitted for the term of her life with the remainder to the said Eliz to a messuage and lands and tenement called Stacyes and Wastlins with barn stable and buildings belonging to the messuage now at this court it appeared that the said Jane died after the last court and upon this came the said Eliz Smith by Gilb Smith her husband and her attorney or deputy in this part and was admitted and gave fine and fealty respited
