at a court held 26.3.1689 Margt Potter now wife of Rich Pratt was admitted to her and heirs to one messuage or tenement called Seabrights with appurtenances sometime in occupation of Jn Edmund (sic possibly error for Pennock) now at this court it appears to homage that said Rich Pratt and Margt his wife 21.5.1711 came before the deputy steward of the manor Margt first by the deputy steward solely and secretly examined and consenting as the law is surrendered by rod into hand of lord by hand of deputy steward the messuage or tenement with appurtenances and all and singular customary messuages lands and tenements which Rich Pratt and Margt Pratt or either of them held of the manor to the sole and proper use of Wm Hallebread of Earls Colne sayweaver his heirs and assigns forever after comes here into court said Wm Hallebread and humbly petitions etc to be admitted to premises etc giving lord fine etc
