fine 12d to this court came Wm Breton and surrendered into the hands of the lady for himself and his heirs forever one cottage with an adjoining enclosure sometime of Jn Atte Sloo chaplain lying next to the churchyard on the west part and one garden late parcel of this manor containing in breadth to one head against the aforesaid churchyard 2rod and to the other head next to church lands called Burtons containing 3rod and the garden is in length 6rod to the use of Thos Hudbonyle Roger Murdon and Wm Atte Wode and their assigns to whom the lady granted thereof seisin to hold to the same said Thos Roger and Wm their heirs and assigns from the lady by the rod at the will of the lady according to the custom of the manor saving whatever right and they gave to the lady for a fine as is shown above and made fealty to the lady etc
