fine 12d | the above mentioned jury present that Adam Crudde out of court on his death bed surrendered into the hands of the lady by the hands of Thos Bonyle bailiff and in the presence of Roger Murdon and Rich Polstede the lady's tenants the same testifying according to the custom of the manor the reversion of one messuage with appurtenances with a small garden adjoining with their appurtenances sometime of Adam Grey joining a tenement of Robt Kyrketon on the west part and a tenement of Thos Prodeman junior on the east part after the death of Joan Lethyard late wife of Wm Lethyard to the use of the said Thos Prodman his heirs and assigns to whom the lady granted seisin of the aforesaid reversion to hold to the same said Thos his heirs and assigns after the decease of the said Joan from the lady by the rod at the will of the lady according to the custom of the manor by ancient services and customs saving whatever rights and he gave to the lady for a fine as shown and made fealty to the lady etc |
