fine 4d to this court came Jn Rouncy and surrendered to the lord one chamber with a soller built on the same with a kitchen between a messuage of Jn Maldon late Jn Atte Chambers of one part and the messuage of Wm Gentry of the other one head abuts on the highway leading from Earls Colne to Colchester which he had of the surrender of Agnes Gentry with Thos Hunt and Joan Gentry the daughter of the said Agnes as appears in the rolls of court with leet here holden on tuesday in the week of pentecost 24.5.13Hen4 to the use of Wm Gentry the brother of the said Joan Gentry late the wife of the foresaid Rich Hosier as it is presented by the inquisition in this roll yet on this condition that the said Wm Gentry or his attorneys shall pay or ca use to be paid to the said Rich Hosier and Jn Litleman 6s8d at the feast of easter next following the date of this court severally and at the feast of all saints then next following to the said Rich and Jn or attorneys 6s8d severally and at the feast of easter then next following 6s8d to the said Jn Litleman or his attorneys then this surrender shall stand and be in strength and virtue but if etc then it shall be of no force to whom the lord granted seisin thereof to hold to the said Wm Gentry and his heirs of the lord to the will of the lord by ancient services and customs etc on the condition aforesaid and if it happen that the said Wm Gentry or his attorneys make default in payment in part or in whole at any term of the terms aforesaid to the parties aforesaid then it shall be lawful for the said Jn Rouncy or his attorneys by the lord's licence to reenter upon the said chamber with appurtenances and them to retain this surrender notwithstanding etc and the said Wm Gentry giveth fine etc and made fealty
