whereas it was lately found by Jn Somercotes the lord's auditor upon the examination of the rental that divers injuries were done to the lord whereupon the bailiff was charged to distrain the tenant of one boundage and 10a of land sometime Roger Foche's because it is heriotable which land and tenement one mr Robt Cooke held for the term of his life by the grant of Jn de Veer earl of Oxford after whose death Cenoclia the wife of the said mr Robt for the term of her life and all other the tenants of the same have held the said lands and tenement and occupied them without licence viz from 49Edw3 even until this day and rents therefore yearly at the usual terms 7s6s etc and also the tenant of one cottage and one croft of customary land containing about 1a of land and 3a of demesne land lying in Fochehole and 2r of land called Oldknoll near the land of Jn Adam 2r of marsh near Sandhill sometime Jn Adams and after Jn Borles and 1a2r of land in the field called Oldknoll sometime Roger Foche's and after P Jn Adams 1r of land in Helderspitell sometime Jn Ballard's and after Robt Cooke's one croft of land called Raneshanecroft sometime Jn Borles and one hall containing 1r of land sometime Jn Draper's after Walt Borles and 1a2r of land sometime Roger Foche's and since Jn Adams and to distrain the tenants of one messuage and 6a of land sometime Jn Borles heriotable which they hold by the service of 6s by year and the tenants of one messuage and 6a of land sometime Peter Trott's heroitable which they hold by the service of 3s and the tenant of one messuage and 8a of land sometime Jn Donewhich and after Jn Malldon's which they hold by the service of 3s and the tenants of one cottage and one marsh sometime Jn Whittecherhe's and after Jn Malldon's which they hold by the service of 11d and the tenants one piece of land lying at Hanfoxland called Helderscroft and one parcel of an aldercarre sometime Robt Skelette's and the tenants of 2a of land sometime Joan the daughter of Jn Borle and after Jn Malldon's which they hold by the service of 18d and the tenants of one croft of land sometime Andrew Adams which Jn Mille bought of Jn Besswhiche the tenants of two crofts of land sometime the said Andrew and Jn which Edm Golding bought of the said Jn and the tenants of 1a of pasture lying at The Brokehouse which the same Edm bought of the same Jn and the tenants of one croft of land in Parkefield sometime the said Jn and Andrew which Jn Walker bought of the same Jn by deed where they hold by rod and the tenant of 1a of meadow sometime Gosses the reve and after Jn Crudde's the son of Adam Crudde and after Walt Carpenter which Hen Nekole bought of the said Jn and the tenant of 2r of meadow sometime Simon Atte Sloes and Geof Kebill's after Jn Adams and Andrew Adams which the same Hen bought by deed and holdeth by the rod and the tenant of 3r of the lord's meadow lying at Salmanbredge which Jn Tanner held to farm and the tenant of 2r of meadow sometime in the tenure of Thos Smithe lying between the meadow of Adam Boteler and the meadow of Jn Gosse the reve and the tenant of two crofts of land and 5s yearly rent which Jn Reve bought of Peter Smythe and Jn Adams and the tenant of 4a of land and pasture sometime Jn White's and after Jn Besowthe's which they (sic) hold by the service of 2s and the tenants of 3a of land sometime Simon Atte Sloe's and after Jn Adams and the tenants of 2a of land and pasture lying in two crofts which was sometime Jn Adams and the tenants of one croft of land and pasture containing 4a sometime Jn Pake's and after Helen the daughter of the said Jn so that they be here at the next court to show how they hold and by what title they occupy the said lands and meadows pastures or else to answer for the issues of the same from 49Edw3 even until this day
