Brownes Messuage | fine 6d to this court came Jn Sparrowe seised in his demesne as of fee according to the custom of the manor to the use of Wm Davison lately deceased his heirs and assigns of and in one messuage with a garden adjoining with the appurtenances sometime Jn Sloes and late Rich Browne and so thereof seised in the full court to perform and execute the last will of the foresaid Wm Davison surrendered into the lord's hands the foresaid messuage and garden with the appurtenances to the use of Joan late his wife now the wife of Jn Carter to have and to hold the said messuage and garden with the appurtenances to the foresaid Joan for term of her life of the lord etc viz so that after the decease of the said Joan the said messuage with the garden and the appurtenances may fully and wholly remain to Helen the daughter and heir of the foresaid Wm Davison and her heirs provided always that if the said Helen happen to die within age or without issue of herself that then the messuage and garden with the appurtenances shall fully and wholly remain to Wm Hogen and Robt Myles of Coggishall executors of the last will of the said Wm Davison and his heirs to sell and the money thereof coming to dispose according to the last will of the foresaid Wm and hereupon to this court came the foresaid Joan and craved for herself to be admitted thereunto and she is admitted the lord's tenant thereof to which Joan by the lord's steward there is seisin thereof delivered to hold to her in form aforesaid to remain from thenceforth as above and she giveth fine etc |
