fine 5s whereas Agnes late the wife of Jn Tillwicke alias Tillfigge who held for term of her life one cottage with a garden adjoining customary containing by estimation 20p of land sometime Simon Wards and one croft of customary land of an ancient name called Oliverscroft containing by estimation 2a of land or more or less etc of the surrender of the foresaid Jn Tilwicke to remain after the decease of the foresaid Agnes to the right heirs of the foresaid Jn Tilwicke and Agnes as in the court with the court leet here holden on tuesday in the week of pentecost in the 12Hen7 16.5.1497 more at large appeareth the foresaid Agnes died since the last court of such estate sole seised of and in the premises whereupon now to this court came Jn Tilwicke son and heir of the foresaid Jn Tilwicke and Agnes and craveth to be admitted to the foresaid cottage garden and croft of land with the appurtenances by reason of the remainder aforesaid and because it is so found by the homage therefore he is admitted the lord's tenant to whom by the lord's steward there is seisin thereof delivered to hold to him Jn Sparrow and Jn Wood their heirs and assigns to the use of the foresaid Jn Tilwicke of the lord by the rod to the will of the lord according to the custom of the manor and he giveth fine etc and made fealty
