it appears to the homage that Simon Lingwoode out of court and after the last court surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of Rich Garrarde tenant of the lord in the presence of Thos Waller also a tenant witnessing one croft of customary land with appurtenances called Bearcroft containing by estimation 6a of land with appurtenances etc and one croft of land lying near the lord's park containing 4a2r of land with appurtenances etc called Parkefield abutting on the land called Wallfield on the one part and on the land called Chewnyland on the other part to the work and use of Joan and Isabel daughters of Simon to have and to hold to them selves and their heirs of the lord etc at their ages of twenty years and that the aforesaid Joan and Isabel are under age viz the aforesaid Joan is aged 14yr or more and the aforesaid Isabel aged 12yr or more therefore custody of the crofts of land is to Robt Ketell Wm Woodward and Rich Potter and if the aforesaid Joan and Isabel or either of them dies before the age of twenty years that then the crofts etc are to remain to the surviving sister and her heirs and if they both die under the age of twenty years then the aforesaid crofts to remain to Jn Farthing and Wm Lingwood executors of the aforesaid Simon to sell and the monies arising to dispose of according to the will of Simon which said Wm and Rich Potter are delivered seisin by the steward to hold of the lord etc and the aforesaid Robt Ketell Wm Woodward and Rich Potter give the lord fine and make fealty fine 5s
