fine 2s to this court came Jn Roger of Canningdon and Joan his wife one of the daughters and coheirs of Simon Lingwood deceased and the same Joan alone and secretly examined by the lord's steward surrendered into the lord's hands the half of one croft of land called Barcrofte containing by estimation 6a of land or more etc and the half of another croft of land lying near the lord's park containing 4a2r called Parkefield and abutteth upon the land called Wallefields of the one part and upon the land called Cowniesland of the other part as by the metes and bounds to the intent that the lord being thereof seised might regrant the said half part of the said crofts of land to the said Jn and Joan his wife and their heirs and the lord by virtue of the surrender aforesaid so seised of and in the premises at this present court by his steward regranted out of his hands the crofts aforesaid with the appurtenances to the foresaid Jn and Joan and their heirs to which Jn and Joan by the lord's steward there is seisin thereof delivered to hold to them and their heirs of the lord by the rod to the will of the lord according to the custom of the manor and they give fine and made fealty
