fine 20s | it is found by the homage that Jn Pennocke out of the court and since the last court surrendered into the lord's hands by the hands of Robt Peerson and Jn Sparrowe the lord's tenants the same witnessing one capital messuage with a garden and curtilage adjoining sometime called Sonningwell with a tenement adjoining called The Taverne (sic) with appurtenances lying in Earls Colne aforesaid as etc to the use and behoof of Jn Knight and Kath his wife and the heirs and assigns of the foresaid Jn who being present in the court came and according to the su rrender aforesaid prayed to be admitted thereto to whom by the lord's steward there is seisin thereof delivered to hold to them their heirs and assigns of the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the manor by the rents and services due and of right accustomed and they give fine etc and the said Jn made fealty and they are admitted the lord's tenants |
