fine 20sit is found by the homage that Greg Garrard out of court and since the last court surrendered into the lord's hands by the hands of Rich Rolte instead of the bailiff in the presence of Jn Wade (may be Jn Wade) and Jn Davy the lord's tenants the same witnessing one messuage with a barn and garden adjoining customary with appurtenances called Joldens lying in Colne aforesaid as by the meets and bounds etc to the use and behoof of Robt Reade his heirs and assigns on condition following that if the aforesaid Greg or his certain attorney his heirs executors or administrators pay or cause to be paid to the foresaid Robt Reade his certain attorney etc at the now dwelling house of the foresaid Robt situate and lying in Colne aforesaid at or before the 15.3.1569 14li of good and lawful money of England that then this present surrender shall be void and of not force in law otherwise it shall remain and be in full force and effect whereupon to this court came the foresaid Robt Reade and according to the surrender craved to be admitted thereunto to whom by the lord's steward there is seisin thereof delivered to hold to him his heirs and assigns of the lord by the rod to the will of the lord according to the custom of the manor by the rents and services therefore before due and of right accustomed and he giveth fine etc and made fealty and is admitted the lord's tenant
