fine 13s parcels of Morses (in another hand) it is found by the homage that on 28.5.15Eliz1 there came Geo Hasset and Alice his wife before Thos Gent esq head steward of this manor and the foresaid Alice her husband being there being alone and secretly examined by the foresaid head steward surrendered into the lord's hands by the hands of the said head steward two cottages now had together and used for one late parcel of a certain chief messuage which sometime was Jn Littels and before Wm Baxter's with a garden to the said cottages as by the consent of the foresaid Geo and Alice they are divided from the said chief messuage and garden now in the tenure of the said Geo and Alice which two cottages now by measure extend in length 40ft lying at the east end of the said chief messuage now in the tenure of the said Geo and Alice and the other end abutting upon a certain garden now in the tenure and occupation of Rich Ennewes called     to the use and behoof of Rich Prentice his heirs and assigns forever except free ingress egress and passage to a certain well to the foresaid chief messuage belonging to draw and get water at the said well at the pleasure and to the necessary use of the said Alice her heirs and assigns forever which Rich Prentice being present in court came and prayed to be admitted thereto to whom by the lord's steward there is seisin thereof delivered to have and to hold to the said Rich Prentice his heirs and assigns of the lord by the rod to the will of the lord according to the custom of the manor by the rents and services etc and he giveth fine etc and made fealty and is admitted the lord's tenant
