fine 20sit is found by the homage that whereas at a leet with the court here holden on monday being 1.10.13Eliz1 it was found by the homage that Jn Gore surrendered into the lord's hands by the hands of Robt Peerson instead of the bailiff and in the presence of Jn Leffingwell and Barth Church the lord's customary tenants the same witnessing the reversion of one croft of land enclosed containing by estimation in the whole 3a3r of land parcel of the croft of land called Barcrofte containing by estimation in the whole 6a of land after the decease of Joan Allen yet in full life being whereof the foresaid parcel lieth between the land of Robt Allen called Barcrofte of the one part toward the west and the land of Lewice Jegon late parcel of the said croft called Barcrofte of the other part towards the east one head abutting upon the way called Barcroft Lane toward the south and the other head upon the garden of Wm Halden toward the north as by the meets and bounds etc when it shall happen by and after the death of one Joan Allen widow to the use and behoof of Robt Allen and his heirs on condition of payment of divers sums of money according to the force form and effect of the testament and last will of Edm Allen deceased and the foresaid Robt Allen by the lord's steward was admitted to the remainder of the foresaid croft of land containing 3a3r of land according to the force and effect of the surrender aforesaid and that the foresaid Robt out of court and since the last court surrendered into the lord's hands by the hands of Lewice Jegon the bailiff and in the presence of Barth Churche and Thos Pullen the lord's customary tenants the same witnessing the foresaid reversion of the foresaid croft when it shall happen by and after the death of the said Joan Allen as is aforesaid to the use and behoof of Hen Smythe his heirs and assigns on condition that the foresaid Hen Smythe his heirs executors and assigns pay or any of them pay the foresaid divers sums of money in such manner and form and to such persons as are contained in the said testament of the said Edm Allen which Hen Smythe being here present in court came and prayed to be admitted to the reversion of the foresaid croft according to the form and effect of the surrender aforesaid to which Hen by the lord's steward because it is so found by the homage there is seisin thereof delivered by the rod to hold to him his heirs and assigns of the lord by the rod to the will of the lord according to the custom of the manor by the rents and services etc and he giveth fine etc and made fealty and is admitted the lord's tenants
