fine 6s8d it is found by the homage that Adam Polley that held to him and his heirs of the lord by the rod etc one cottage sometime builded on with a garden adjoining called Charles Paines lying in Colne aforesaid viz between the churchyard of Colne aforesaid of the one part toward the north and the way leading toward Colne Park of the other part toward the east and the other head abutting upon The Halle Yard as by copy of court roll here holden on tuesday in the week of pentecost 19.5.4Eliz1 more at large appears died divers years past of the premises and such estate seised and they say that at the time of his death Ann Polley was cousin and next heir of the said Adam and daughter and heir of Adam Polley then deceased son and heir of the same Adam and hath right to the premises which Ann being present in the court came and prayed to be admitted thereto as to her right and inheritance to whom etc and because the foresaid Ann is under age viz of the age of 15yrs therefore the custody as well of her body as of the premises is committed to Robt Reade during the nonage of the said Ann who giveth fine etc
