fine 4li10s it is found by the homage that Thos Felton that held to him and his heirs of the lord by the rod etc one messuage with a rentary and garden adjoining in Colne Street late Wm Bomes alias Bromes and since Jn Bieston's and 3a of land enclosed near Hinesland with the appurtenances or more etc as by copy of court roll here holden 2.1.27Eliz1 more at large appears out of the court and since the last court surrendered into the lord's hands by the hands of Robt Smythe instead of the bailiff in the presence of Robt Rookes and Xoph Isaack the lord's customary tenants and other the same witnessing the foresaid messuage and other the premises with appurtenances except the foresaid rentary with appurtenances to the use and behoof of Jn Green of Halstead and Jn Green his son and their heirs and assigns who being present in the court came and prayed to be admitted to the premises except before excepted to whom by the lord's steward etc to the will of the lord etc by the rents and services etc and they gave fine etc and made fealty and are admitted the lord's tenants
