in the court here holden on 12.9.28Eliz1 it appeareth that Lawrence Gilotte took to him and his heirs by copy of the lord's grant one house builded upon a parcel of the waste soil of this manor in length 7rod and a half and in breadth at one head 7rod and at the other side one head thereof abutting upon the south east and the other head thereof abutting toward the south west and it lieth in length between the highway leading from Colne aforesaid towards Halstead of one part toward the north east and to the land of Thos Leffingwell on the other part toward the west by fealty suit of court and rent of one capon yearly to be paid at the feast of the circumcision of our lord and the same Lawrence being now required came by Wm Browne his attorney and took day until the next court to show his copy thereof made unto him
