to this court came Jn Knight and Kath his wife daughter of Jn Pennocke by Robt Knight their son and showed a certain copy made them at the court with the leet here holden the 21.6.10Eliz1 by which they claim to hold to them and the heirs of the same Jn by the surrender of Jn Pennocke one capital messuage with a garden and curtilage adjoining sometime called Sonningwells with a tenement adjoining called Tabors with appurtenances in Earls Colne aforesaid as by meets and bounds etc and by fealty suit of court and rent of 28d which before were of Jn Pennocke and Margt his wife before of Alice Harvie widow Robt Fen and Rich Garrard as appears by another copy here shown at the court with the leet here holden in the 18Hen8 and they say that the same Jn Pennocke let parcel of the premises to one Banbury called the Tennis Court by the rent of 4d by the year but whether the said parcel were surrendered or no they know not and he also holdeth freely one pightle occupied with the said tenement by fealty suit of court and rent of 2s6d by the year
