it appears to the homage that Hen Bridge who held to himself and his heirs of the lord by the rod etc a messuage or tenement with yard and garden adjoining with appurtenances as shown in the court =Eliz1 in the occupation of Randal Green or his assigns after the last court out of court surrendered to the lord by the hands of Robt Reade instead of the bailiff in the presence of Jn Green and Thos Smith customary tenants of the manor witnessing the aforesaid messuage or tenement etc to the use of Edm Potter and Margt his wife their heirs and assigns which said Edm and Margt came to this court and prayed the lord to be admitted to the premises by the form and effect of the surrender aforesaid and the lord by the steward granted to the same Edm and Margt and the heirs of the said Edm of the lord by the rod according to the custom of the manor and all rents and services due and of right accustomed etc and he gave the lord the fine 40s and made fealty and were admitted tenants of the lord
