whereas at the leet and court here holden on friday being the 12.6.32Eliz1 Edw Girlinge and Jn Salter were admitted the lord's tenants by the surrender of Robt Partridge to all and singular the lands and tenements which the said Robt held of the lord of this manor by copy of court roll then in the tenure or occupation of Wm Loveney as by the roll of the same court more at large appeareth the foresaid lands and tenements being known by the name of Curdes now the homage aforesaid present that since the last court and out of court the foresaid Jn Salter surrendered into the lord's hands by the hands of Robt Reade instead of the bailiff in the presence of Robt Rookes and Robt Parker two customary tenants of this manor the same witnessing according to the custom of the same manor all those his foresaid lands and tenements customary called Curds with appurtenances to the use and behoof of Robt Partridge and his heirs and because the foresaid Robt nor any other in his name came to this court to take the premises out of the lord's hands and to satisfy him his fine due by virtue of the surrender aforesaid therefore the bailiff of the manor aforesaid is charged to seize and take the lands and tenements aforesaid with appurtenances into the lord's hands and to answer the profits thereof and upon his account etc
