fine 5li6s8dwhereas at the leet with court here holden of saturday in the week of pentecost in 36Eliz1 25.5.1594 Edw Potter and Margt his wife were admitted the lord's tenants to them and the heirs of the said Edm by the surrender of Jn Churche to a croft of land called Spoutcroft alias Ryecroft holden by fealty suit of court and a rent of 5s6d1h as by copy of the roll of the same court brought and shown here in court appeareth now it is found by the homage of this court that since the last court and out of this court the foresaid Edm and Margt his wife the same Margt being alone and secretly examined by Sam Cockerell gentleman by virtue of a certain warrant from the lord of the manor aforesaid to him made dated etc and did surrender into the lord's hands by the hands of Thos Bridge in the presence of Jn Greene and Jn Pierson two customary tenants of this manor the same witnessing according to the custom of the same manor the foresaid croft of land and appurtenances by the name of one croft of land called Lowefield alias Spoutfield to the use and behoof of Sam Burton and his heirs forever to which Sam present in court there is seisin of the premises delivered to have and to hold to him and his heirs of the lord by the rod to the will of the lord according to the custom of the manor by the rents services and customs therefore due and of right accustomed and he gave fine and fealty and is admitted tenant thereof
