whereas at the court with the leet here holden on friday being 12.6.32Eliz1 Edm Potter and Margt his wife were admitted the lord's tenants to them and the heirs of the same Edm to a messuage of tenement with a barn orchard and garden to the same adjoining with appurtenances called or known by the name of Dynes situate in Colne aforesaid as by copy of the same court shown here in court appeareth now it is found by the homage aforesaid that since the last court and out of this court the foresaid Edm Potter and Margt his wife the same Margt being alone and secretly examined by Sam Cockerell gentleman by virtue of a certain warrant under the seal of the lord of the said manor to him made surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of Thos Bridge instead of the bailiff in the presence of Jn Greene and Jn Pierson two customary tenants of the same witnessing according to the custom of the manor aforesaid all and singular the premises with appurtenances to the use and behoof of Sam Burton and his heirs forever to which Sam here present in court the lord by his steward aforesaid granted seisin thereof to have and to hold to him and his heirs of the lord by the rod to the will of the lord according to the custom of the manor aforesaid by the rents services and customs therefore due and of right accustomed and he made fine and fealty and is admitted tenant thereof
