fine 40swhereas at a view with court here held on thursday 13.9.24Eliz1 Jn Annsell and Susan his wife were admitted tenants of the lord to themselves and the heirs of the said Jn to one tenement with a garden adjoining with appurtenances called Francis situate and lying in Colne aforesaid with a gate out of the garden aforesaid into Lowfield as shown by copy of court roll here in court shown now it appears to the homage aforesaid that after the last court and out of court viz 10.4.41Eliz1 the aforesaid Jn Annsell and Susan his wife came before Robt Cobbe steward of the manor aforesaid according to a warrant under the signature of Roger Harlakenden esq lord of the manor aforesaid and with his consent and the aforesaid Susan solely and secretly examined by the steward aforesaid according to custom surrendered all and singular the premises with appurtenances into the hands of the lord by the hands of the steward in the presence of Jas Pennock instead of the bailiff Jn Green Jn Warde and Jn Peerson customary tenants of the manor the same witnessing according to the custom of the manor aforesaid to the work and use of Chas Huntsman and Margery his wife and the heirs of the said Chas forever which Chas and Margery present here in the court were granted seisin of the premises to hold to themselves and the heirs of the said Chas to hold of the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the manor aforesaid by the rents services and customs before due and of right accustomed and they made their fine and fealty and were admitted tenants
