two that he doth know the manors of Earls Colne and Colne Priory in the said county of Essex and also knoweth the messuages lands and tenements now in question called Curds holden of the said manor by copy of court roll and hath known the said manors messuages lands and tenements ever since he hath been of discretion to know any such things and saith that the right honourable Edw late earl of Oxford and after him the said Roger Harlakenden in his lifetime and the now defendant Rich Harlakenden since his said father's death have been all the lords of the said manors owners of the said manors that this deponent hath known in his time and all the owners of the said messuages and lands that this deponent hath known in and by all the time of this deponent's remembrance and have been the lands of the said Rose one of the complainants and of her several former husbands and came by her husband Cuckoe being her first husband
