two that he doth know the manors of Earls Colne and Colne Priory in the said county of Essex and this deponent also knoweth the messuage lands and tenements now in question called Curds holden of the said manors by copy of court roll and hath known the said manor messuages lands and tenements this thirty two or thirty three years and saith that within the time of this deponent's remembrance he hath not known any other lords of the said manor of Earls Colne than only the said Roger Harlakenden in his lifetime and the now defendant Rich Harlakenden after his father's decease successively and of the said manor of Colne Priory there have in this deponent's time been three lords namely the right honourable earl of Oxford deceased the said Roger Harlakenden and the said defendant Rich Harlakenden and as for proprietors or owners of the said messuages lands and tenements called Curds this deponent saith he hath not known any other than only the now complainant in the right of the complainant Rose and one Robt Partridge gentleman deceased former husband of the said Rose
