eleven he hath credibly heard and doth verily believe to be true that there was a legacy of 20li given unto Susan Cuckoe one other of the daughters of the said Jeff Cuckoe by the last will and testament of the said Jeff and this deponent saith he is the more confident of the truth in that behalf because he hath heard the defendant Rose Rosse mother of the said Susan and formerly the wife of one Robt Partridge and before that the wife of the said Jeff Cuckoe so say and confess before she was the wife of the now defendant Edw Rosse this deponent demanding the same question of her at the request of the now complainant Ralph Lunt which legacy of 20li this deponent saith was and is detained by the said Rose and this deponent verily believeth for this deponent saith that when he questioned her of the said legacy about twelve months since she did not deny but that the same was left unto the said Susan by the said Jeff Cuckoe her father but the said Rose then alleged that her said husband Partridge had spent the said legacy
