(these documents are bound together by four tags and one tag addresses the bundle to our trusty and well beloved Wm Bird Thos Mildmay of Barnes Edw Turner esq and Jn Pake gentleman or to three of them by the queen) trusty and well beloved we greet you well and send unto you here enclosed certain articles interrogatories to be ministered to the witnesses on the part and behalf of Edw Sibthorpe complainant against Roger Harlakenden and other defendants whereupon we trusting in your approved wisdoms learning and indifferences will and desire you that by the authority hereof calling afore you in our name all such witnesses and proofs as by either of the said parties shall be nominated unto you yea then duly and substantially examine them the said witnesses by their oaths in due form of law sworn not only upon the contents of the said articles here enclosed but also upon all such other articles which by either of the said parties shall be exhibited unto you endeavouring yourselves by all means possible to search and try out the verity of the premises by your said examinations and thereupon duly to certify to us and our counsel by your writings under your seals in our court of requests in Westminster in the term of st hilary next coming of the very true depositions of the said witnesses like as you shall find by your said examinations to the intent that we by the advice of the said council may further do therein as the case rightfully shall require not failing hereof as the tender or pleasure and the advancement of justice given our privy seal at our palace of Westminster 29.11.34Eliz1
