indenture made 2.8.1725 between Geo Barnard senior late of Halstead and now of Colne Engaine in the county of Essex yeoman Jn King of Hedingham Sible in the said county clothier Joseph Baily of Tilbury in the county aforesaid yeoman and Wm Swannn of Halstead aforesaid clothier of the one part and Hen Adams junior of Earls Colne in the county aforesaid yeoman Joseph Bott of Earls Colne aforesaid saymaker Rich Bernard of Earls Colne aforesaid yeoman Jn Puplitt of Wakes Colne in the said county yeoman Wm Harvey of Earls Colne aforesaid tailor Jn Dawson of Pebmarsh in the county aforesaid yeoman Jn Hutchinson of Colne Engaine aforesaid yeoman Edw Crowe of Earls Colne aforesaid weaver Hen Adams son of the said Hen Adams junior Geo Bernard junior of Colne Engaine aforesaid maltster Jn Page of Earls Colne aforesaid cordwainer Jn Bernard of Colne Engaine aforesaid yeoman Joseph Baily junior of Hedingham Sible aforesaid yeoman and Dan King of Hedingham Sible aforesaid saymaker of the other part witnesseth that the said Geo Bernard senior Jn King Joseph Baily and Wm Swann in consideration of 10s of lawful money of Great Britain to them in hand paid by the said Hen Adams junior Joseph Bott Rich Bernard Jn Puplett Wm Harvey Joseph Dawson Jn Hutchinson Edw Crowe Hen Adams the son Geo Bernard junior Jn Page Jn Bernard Joseph Baily junior and Dan King at and before the ensealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have and either of them hath bargained and sold and by these presents and either of them doth bargain and sell unto the said Hen Adams junior Jos Bott Rich Bernard Jn Puplitt Wm Harvey Jos Dawson Jn Hutchinson Edw Crowe Hen Adams the son Geo Bernard the younger Jn Page Jn Bernard Jos Baily junior and Dan King all that piece or parcel of ground part of the close of land sometime of Jn Garret maltster since deceased lying and being in Earls Colne aforesaid containing by estimation 32p more or less which said piece or parcel of ground is enclosed with a pale fence abutting upon a lane or passage leading from the street in Earls Colne aforesaid to certain lands called Burrowes Lands towards the west and upon a freehold messuage sometime of Theodosia Harris widow and now of Mary Leppingwell widow and Joseph Dewey commonly called or known by the name of The Lyon towards the south with a house or building upon the same piece of ground or some part thereof erected formerly in the tenure of the said Jn Garret maltster and now of Jn Unwin his assign or assigns and the reversion and reversions remainder and remainders rents and profits of the said premises to have and to hold the said piece or parcel of ground and the house or building thereupon and all and singular the premises therein before mentioned and intended to be hereby bargained and sold with their and every of their appurtenances unto the said Hen Adams junior Jos Bott Rich Bernard Jn Puplitt Wm Harvey Joseph Dawson Jn Hutchinson Edw Crowe Hen Adams the son Geo Bernard junior Jn Page Jn Bernard Joseph Baily junior and Dan King their executors administrators and assigns from the day next before the day of the date of these presents for and during and unto the full end and term of one whole year from thence next ensuing and fully to be complete and ended yielding and paying therefore at the end of the aforesaid term the rent of one peppercorn only if demanded to the intent by virtue of these presents by force of the statute for transferring uses into possession the said Hen Adams junior Jos Bott etc may be in the actual possession of the said premises and enabled to accept a release and conveyance of the reversion and inheritance thereof to them and their heirs to such uses and intents and purposes and upon and under such trusts and provisos as in and by one other indenture intended to bear date the day next after the day of the date of these presents and to be made between the said Geo Bernard the elder Jn King Joseph Baily and Wm Swann of the one part and the said Hen Adams junior etc of the other part shall be expressed and declared in witness whereof the said parties have to these presents interchangeably set their hands and seals the day and year first above written Geo Bernard Jn King Joseph Baily Wm Swann
