this indenture made 5.3.1703 witnesseth that Thos Piper and Jn White churchwardens and Jn Nuton and Jn Patrick overseers of the poor of the parish of Earls Colne with the consent of Hen Ayloffe esq and Jn Cressener esq two justices of the peace by these presents put placed and bound Jn Fuller a poor fatherless child as an apprentice to and with Thos Symons of Fingerihoe Essex fisherman and as an apprentice with him to dwell and serve until he shall reach the age of twenty four years etc he to serve his master etc his master to keep him and feed him etc in witness on paper stamped with two 6d stamps Thos Simons Jn Hatch Sam Burton justices of the peace Hen Ayloffe Jn Cressener further agreed that after the end of the apprenticeship Thos Symons shall allow him a new and decent suit of apparel etc Jn Hatch Sam Burton Thos Simons
