overseers with the consent of justices of the peace have put and placed
Jn White
a poor child of the parish apprentice to
Jn Leswell
of Great Coggeshall bayweaver with him to dwell from this day until the age of twenty four years (now aged 17years) during which time to serve his master and etc and
Jn Leswell
does covenant to instruct him in the art of a bay weaver and lodge and feed him and indemnify the inhabitants of Earls Colne and at the end of the term provide double apparel etc
