in the name of god amen the 3.9.1558 I Roger Spyser of Earls Colne in the county of Essex smith whole of mind and perfect remembrance do make this testament and last will in manner and form following first I bequeath my soul to almighty god my body to be buried in the churchyard of Earls Colne item I bequeath to Joan my wife and Joan my daughter all manner my movable goods and unmovable whatsoever they be paying my lawful debts except the silver spoons which I give unto Jn Spycer and a silver spoon unto Thos Spycer and a maser bound with silver and gilt which I will shall be delivered at my wife's decease and I give unto the said Thos my gown at the day of my death and I ordain and make Joan my wife my executrix she to do for me at the pleasure of god amen these being witnesses Jn Culverton Geo Lessing and Thos Spicer
