in the name of god amen the 19.7.1604 etc. I Wm Manners of Earls Colne in the county of Essex husbandman being sick in body but of perfect mind and remembrance thanks be given to god do make and ordain this my testament containing therein my last will in manner and form following first I commit my soul to almighty god my creator and maker to jesus christ my only redeemer and to the holy ghost my sanctifier and preserver and my body to the earth from whence it came to be decently buried first I give and bequeath to Margt my wife my cottage or house called Wenders which I now dwell in with the appurtenances during her natural life and after her decease to Wm Manners Jo Manners Peter Manners Thomasin Manners and Eliz Manners my children equally to be divided amongst them item I give Bonaventure my son 20s of lawful english money to be paid unto him within one year after my decease by mine executrix all my movable goods chattels or cattle whatsoever I give and bequeath to Margt my wife whom I do ordain and make my only executrix to this my last will and testament in witness whereof I have put my hand and seal the day and year first above written mark Wm Manners read signed sealed and delivered in the presence of us Franc Hampton mark Edw Abbott mark Thos Carter
