Wm Walford in the name of god amen I Wm Walford of Earls Colne in the county of Essex yeoman and in the diocese of London being sick in body but of good and perfect memory thanks be to god do ordain and make this my last will and testament declaring therein and thereby my full mind in manner and form following first and principally I give and bequeath my soul into the hands of almighty god my creator and redeemer with an assured trust and confidence through the death merit and passion of my lord and saviour jesus christ to have full pardon and remission of all my sins and offences and for those worldly and movable goods the which it hath please almighty god in his goodness to bless me withal item I give and bequeath unto Mary Walford my daughter 40li of good and lawful money of England to be paid unto her by my executor when she shall accomplish the full age of 21yr item I give and bequeath unto that child the which my wife is with now if it be a man child 70li of like money of England to be paid unto him at the age of 21yr and if it shall happen to be a woman child that then I give and bequeath unto her but 30li of like money of England to be paid unto her at the age of 21yr by my executor and if it shall happen that the said child shall die or depart this world then I give and bequeath unto Mary Walford my daughter 20li more to be paid unto her at the time abovesaid by my executor and further my mind and will is if it be a woman child that my wife is withal at this present that then if either Mary Walford my now daughter or the other daughter shall depart this world before they shall accomplish the age of 21yr that then I will that they shall have and enjoy each others portions the which I have formerly given and bequeathed all the other movable goods debts and personal title household stuff implements of household stuff of what sort or kind soever they be I give and bequeath unto Grace Walford my now wife and I do ordain and make the said Grace my sole executrix to pay my debts and to see my body decently brought and buried in christian burial and further my will and mind is that I do and ordain and make Edw Hunt my brother in law supervisor of this my last will and testament to see the same performed accordingly as is above mentioned and expressed in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the 3.9.1634 etc. sealed signed and delivered in the presence of us Jn Hauksbie mark Edw Sponer Jn Read mark Wm Walford
