in the name of god amen I Dorothy Wale of Earls Colne in the county of Essex widow being mindful of my mortality do make this my last will and testament in manner and form following first I give and bequeath unto Mary the daughter of my niece Ann Holgate the sum of 100li to be paid to her at her age of 21yrs or day of marriage which shall first happen by my executrix hereinafter named and if she shall die before time of payment then I will the said 100li to be paid to her brother Chas Holgate at his age of 21yrs or apprenticeship which shall first happen item I give to my niece Eliz Wale the like sum of 100li to be paid at her age of 21yrs or day of marriage which shall first happen item I give to my nieces Frances and Eliz Parish the sum of 150li apiece to be paid unto them respectively at their several and respective days of marriage and if either of them shall die before marriage then the legacy of her so dying and unmarried I will to be paid unto the survivor of them at her day of marriage and my will further is that my executrix shall pay legal interest to the said Frances and Eliz Parish until the time of their marriage and payment of their legacies and that if either of them die before marriage that the survivor of them the said Frances and Eliz shall have power to dispose of the whole 300li by her last will in writing notwithstanding she be unmarried item I give to my nephew Jn Wale the younger esq 100li item I give to my brother Jn Wale esq 10li to buy him mourning to my nephew Jeff Wale and his wife 5li apiece to my nephews Chas Wale and Rich Wale 5li apiece and to the rev mr Bernard vicar of Earls Colne aforesaid 5li all the rest and residue of my goods chattels and personal estate whatsoever I give and bequeath unto my sister mrs Frances Biddulph whom I make sole executrix of this my will and hereby revoking all former wills by me made I do declare this to be my last will and testament in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal 17.3.1736 Dorothy Wale signed sealed published and declared by the said Dorothy Wale as her last will and testament in the presence of us who subscribed our names as witnesses in her presence Ann Spiller Martha Seppe
