whereas Andrew Hills late of Stellin in Kent master and Margt Browning of Fearing in Essex widow having declared their intentions of taking each other in marriage before several public meetings of the people of god called quakers in Coggeshall Halsted and Colne whose proceedings therein after a deliberate consideration thereof were approved by the said meetings they appearing clear of all others and having consent of parties and relations concerned now these are to certify all whom it may concern that for the full accomplishing of their said intentions this 13.4.1693 the year according to the english account they the said Andrew Hills and Margt Browning aforesaid appeared in a public assembly of the aforesaid people and others met together in their public meeting house in Coggeshall aforesaid and according to the example of the holy men of god recorded in the scriptures of truth in a solomn manner he the said Andrew Hills taking the said Margt Browning by the hand did openly declare as followeth friends in the fear of the lord and before you I Andrew Hills did take Margt Browning to be my wife promising to be unto her a true a loving and faithful husband until death and then and there in the said assembly the said Margt Browning did in like manner declare as followeth friends in the fear of the lord and before you his people I Margt Browning take Andrew Hills to be my husband promising to be unto him a loving and faithful wife until death separate us and the said Andrew Hills and Margt Browning as a further confirmation thereof did then and there to these presents set their hands and we whose names are hereunto subscribed being present amongst others at the solomnizing of their said marriage and subscription in manner aforesaid as witnesses thereunto have also to these pre sents subscribed our names the day and year above written Andrew Hills Margt Hills Jn Raven Edm Raven sen Jn Raven Edm Raven Wm Raven Mark Browning Edw Warry Jn Marsh Wm Raven Wm Read Wm Ludgater Robt Ludgater Sevsana Raven Eliz Raven Wm Raven Dan Haringtun Jn Ludgater Sam Clarke Thos Wright Jn Bale Rich Pemberton Jn Garrett Dan Bayley Sam Marriage Jas Haynes Isaac Bueston Robt Wilbore Wm Swan
