When Jn Hutley purchased the property in 1840 it was let on lease to Jn Moss at £42 per annum. Since it came into the possession of mr Hutley he has built a cottage and taken in a parcel of the waste in front - abutting on Curds Lane
There is some error about this quitrent which I cannot at present make out:- in 1721 Jn Newton paid 15s8d. In 1836 Hannah Ruffle is entered in the quitrent book as paying 14s. I find no previous entry of Francis Ruffle in the quitrent book
