Previous to Alex Carter this was in possession of Sam London and called "3r in Hains or Harris Meadow in Colne Engain, formerly Potter's " rental 1751 - in rental of 1756 it is mentioned as in the occupation of Jeremiah Mayhew I have applied in writing 2.1.1857 to mr J.J. Mayhew but have obtained no information from him as to locality
