the underwritten is a true copy of the consent and agreement of the minister churchwardens etc of this parish to mr Jn Newton's faculty pew as follows we the minister and churchwardens of Earls Colne in the county of Essex whose names are underwritten do consent and agree that Jn Newton of Claypitt Green in Earls Colne aforesaid yeo with leave of the right reverend Edm lord bishop of London our ordinary which we hereby crave shall have a pew in the east end of the south aisle of the said parish church appropriate to his house called Claypitts in the said parish containing 4ft8i in breadth and 7ft in length being the second pew from the pulpit southward witness our hands at the vestry held in the said church this 13.11.1726 Thos Bernard vicar there present Thos Sewell Geo Livermore Jn Pratt Jn Unwin churchwardens Jn Hatch mark Ambrose Towers
