continuation of internal payments etc and from which account in a payment to Jn Nyghtynghale for carting sand for tiling within the said priory for two days taking per day 16d altogether 2s8d and for a thousand tiles carted from Halstead as far as Bechamp 2s and payment of two men for digging the aforesaid sand for one day taking 4d per day with food and drink 8d and payment to the said Jn for carrying out of Chalkeney as far as the priory for making the bridge at Edwardston timber for planks viz for three cartloads taking for each cartload 4d 12d and for the carriage of essebord (door boards) out of Chalkney to the dormitory there viz for two cartloads taking as above 8d and for four cartloads of clay carted to the said priory taking for each cartload 2d1h altogether 10d and a payment to the same said man for digging the said clay 4d and a payment to the same said man for daubing the stable there for two days taking per day 4d with food and drink 8d and a payment for the carriage of a hundred concave tiles carted from the tilekell of Jn Filbrygge as far as the said priory 3d1h and similarly 4bush and a half of oats bought for the horse of Walt Bodulgate upon divers occasions this year 22d1h and for hay for the same 12d and payment to the same said man for being the helper of Thos Skynnere tiling at the grange there for one day taking with food and drink 5d and a payment to Robt Wynter and his helper sawing the wood for the window of the dormitory there and other work there for seven days with food provided by the lord taking for each of them 3d per day altogether 3s6d and to the same said Robt and his helper sawing there at the tressenor of the dormitory for two days taking for each of them with food and drink per day 6d altogether 2s and a payment to the said Robt and his helper there sawing wood for essboards and other jobs there for three days taking for each of them per day as above 3s and a payment to the same said Robt and his helper there sawing there at the bridge of Edwardeston for two days taking per day as above 2s and a payment to the same said Robt and Jn Loveney working there at the carpentry for one day taking with food and drink 11d and a payment to the said Robt for eight hundred feet of board for rails for ccma# taking for splitting cutting and sawing 18d altogether 12s and a payment for half a hundred of oak boards bought of the same said Robt for the chapter house of White Colne 20d and for one and a half oaks bought from the same said Robt for the manor of Berewyk 15d and a payment to the same said Robt for the common fine three times in the hundred as the law for certainty of leet in the lord's manor on divers occasions this year 14d and for fifteen thousand lathe nails bought for the dortor# of the church and two tressanors there viz for each thousand 12d altogether 15s and for four hundred durnayl (door nails) bought for the same viz per hundred 2d altogether 2s and for a hundred window nails for the same 20d and for a hundred esseborde nails for the same viz for each hundred 6d altogether 2s6d and a payment to Jn Tylvyke for strengthening a certain bridge at Edwardston by agreement made with him gross etc 6s8d and a payment to Steph Smyth for his cart for carriage for the said bridge from Colne as far as Edwardston for three days taking per day 2s altogether 6s and in the expenses of the said Steph riding there for one day 6d and in grease given for the cart etc 2d and in the expenses of Steph himself with two men driving with him at Edwardston taking for each of them for two days viz per day for the same said Steph 6d and the same said men 4d per day with food and drink 2s4d and in the expenses of the said Steph Jn Tylvyke and Wm Atte Wode riding from Colne as far as Baldyngfeld for cancella# (window) to be repaired going and returning 2s2d and a payment to Steph Smyth for his cart taking the timber away as far as the priory for four days for the tressannor taking per day 2s altogether 8s and in the expenses of food and drink for a man going with the said cart for the same time and for Steph Smyth working with him 17d and in the expenses of Jn Mille and Steph Smyth being there for two days for the letting of the farm to Jn Nyghtynghale and for writing the indentures thereof 8d and a payment for twenty four fastenings bought of Jn Sowhete for the lends# for the same said tressenor 5d and for forty durnayll bought from the same 3d and for fifty foot nails bought for the same from the same 6d and for a hundred lednails bought from the same for st mary aisle there 4d and for two carters being with Jn Sowhete duly from the lord for one day 3s4d and a payment to the same said men for clearing the underbrush in Chalkney for carting away the wood from there for four days taking 4d per day with food and drink 16d and a payment to Jn Nyghtynghale for his cart to carry timber out of Halleyerd as far as the garden adjoining the chamber of the lord prior for the tressener for one day with food and drink 2s and for lathes carted out of Chiffen as far as the said priory by the same 3d and for one cartload of boards carted out of the dwelling house of Rich Skynner as far as the priory for the belfry and the said tressenor 3d and payment to Jn Wreght both for repairing the belfry and for the carpentry of the said tressenor taking by agreement made with him gross above one quart of wheat from the lord's store 4li and in the expenses of the steward and others coming there for two courts this year 12d and for the expenses of the farmer of Rothyng and his servants being there for negotiations with the lord once 4d and a payment to Thos Prynce for repairing the clock there this year 2s2d and for four hundred bertyngnayll for the said tressenor 2s8d and for one hundred and forty durnayll bought for the same 8d and for one suathe# of iron bought for the same 3d and a payment to Peter Austyn for the pinning below the foundations of the dormitory and the tressenor there taking gross etc 8s and a payment to Math Nase for the close around the wood of Chalkney viz 200rod by 120rod taking per hundred 1d altogether 20s and a payment in expenses viz in bread for the same and meat given to the officer of the park there by the agreement of the said lord at the feast of easter next following 5s5d and a payment to Jn Chaloner Jn Brokeman Jn Lyteman Wm Sorell Jn Wreght and Wm Pruddeman viz for each of them 2s for the amercement for appearing in the court of the honour of Hengham concerning a plea between the lord prior and Jn Panell by a precept of the lord prior in total 12s
