whereas at a court here held saturday being 3.10.1607 Edw Catte was admitted tenant of the lord for himself and his heirs to one parcel with a tenement built and one piece of land containing in length 6rod and in breadth to one head 3rod and to the other head 3rod and lying between the eavesdrop of the aforesaid tenement that is of fee late of the earl of Oxford on one part and a certain lane leading to the tenement of Rich Boner called Simondes on the other part and one head thereof abutting upon the king's highway and the other head upon the land of the said Rich Boner called Simonds as by the metes and bounds etc as by a copy of a roll of that court here in this court produced and clearly shown now at this court it is shown by the homage that the aforesaid Edw Catte out of this court and after the last court surrendered the aforesaid premises with appurtenances into the hands of the lord by the hands of Wm Catte instead of the bailiff in the presence of Robt Reade and Hen Abbott senior customary tenants of the lord the same testifying according to the custom of the said manor to the use and behoof of Dan Lea and his heirs who present in court sought admittance thereof for himself to whom the lord by his aforesaid steward granted thereof seisin to have to the same said Dan and his heirs to hold from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the aforesaid manor by the rents and services thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and he gave to the lord his fine as is shown in the margin and made fealty to the lord and was admitted thereof tenant of the lord
