at this court it is shown by the homage that after the last court and before this court Mich Hayward customary tenant of this manor surrendered into the hands of the lord of this same manor by the hands of Wm Brand instead of the bailiff in the presence of Jn Parker and Jn Read two customary tenants of this manor the same testifying one parcel of land called Popes Hatch with appurtenances to the use and behoof of the lord of this manor his heirs and assigns forever
