it is shown by the aforesaid homage that Jn Parker customary tenant of this manor out of court surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of Rich Bulwer instead of the bailiff in the presence of Edw Cressener and Rich Kempe two customary tenants the same testifying according to the custom of the aforesaid manor divers parcel of land called Prystland and Dagnall Hill containing by estimation 22a of land altogether lying and being in the aforesaid Colne as by the metes and bounds etc now in the occupation of Jas Nicholl which same said premises with appurtenances the aforesaid Jn Parker took for himself and his heirs at a view with court held for the aforesaid manor 24.9.1590 to the use and behoof of Jn Hawkesbee clerk and Dionisia his wife for their lifetimes and to the longer liver the remainder thereof after their decease to Rich Hawkesby son of the said Jn Hawkesbee and Dionisia and his heirs forever to whom the same said Jn Hawkesbee and Dionisia present here in court the lord by his steward granted and delivered thereof seisin by the rod to have to them for their lifetimes and to the longer liver the remainder thereof after their decease to the aforesaid Rich Hawkesbee their son his heirs and assigns forever to hold from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the aforesaid manor by the rents customs and services thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and the aforesaid Jn Hawkesbee and Dionisia gave fine and fealty to the lord and were admitted etc but the admission fine and fealty of the aforesaid Rich in remainder was respited until etc
