it is shown also by the homage that Isabel Gylott who lately held for herself and her heirs by copy of a court roll etc one parcel of waste field of this manor containing in length 7rod and a half and in breadth to one head 7rod and to the other 5rod lying in length between the kings highway leading from the aforesaid Colne towards Halstead on one part towards the north east and land sometime of Thos Leppingwell on the other part towards the west with a certain cottage built thereupon as by a copy of a roll for a court held for the aforesaid manor 16.6.1595 it is clearly shown and appears she died before this court and after the last court seised thereof in the aforesaid manner and that Robt Gylott is her heir and of full age upon which now to this court came the aforesaid Robt Gylott in person and sought admittance to the premises as his right and inheritance to whom the lord by his aforesaid steward granted and delivered thereof seisin by the rod to have and to hold to him the aforesaid Robt and his heirs from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the aforesaid manor by the rent of 12d per annum by apportionment between he himself and Joan now wife of Rich Kempe who purchased part of the aforesaid cottage and by other customs and services thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and he made fine and fealty and was admitted etc
