at this court it is shown by the homage that Jn Church gentleman customary tenant of this manor after the last court and before this court viz 17.12.1631 surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of Jn Parker instead of the bailiff in the presence of Jn Read and Dan Lea two customary tenants of the aforesaid manor the same testifying according to the custom of the aforesaid manor all his lands called Stonebridge Ground Boultinghouse Land or Boultinghouse Fenn or by whatever other names or name it is called one head thereof abutting upon a lane called Boultinghouse Lane towards the east and the other side abutting upon the lands of Wm Collyn towards the north and the other side abutting upon the kings highway leading from Earls Colne towards Halstead towards the south and another head abutting upon the land of Jn Litle senior of Halstead gentleman towards the west and containing 7a more or less now in the tenure of the said Jn Church or his assigns to the use and behoof of Jn Litle junior and his heirs forever who present here in court sought admittance to whom the lord by the aforesaid steward granted and delivered thereof seisin by the rod to have to him and his heirs forever to hold from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the aforesaid manor by the rents services and customs thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and he gave to the lord his fine but his fealty was respited because he was under age
