at this court Higham Sayer esq gave to the court and homage of the court knowledge that Edw Rosse and Rose his wife after the last court and before this court viz 11.7.1633 surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of Wm Grange instead of the bailiff in the presence of Jn Church and Sam Burton two customary tenants of the aforesaid manor the same testifying etc two gardens and two crofts of land called Wrongs and 2a called Cogsgrove to the use of the said Rose for her lifetime and after her decease to the use of Higham Sayer and his heirs and the aforesaid surrender was drawn up and delivered to the homage as evidence but is was not found certain nor sufficient evidence for the court of the right of the said Rose as the custom and the admission was respited saving the right etc
