and afterwards into that same court and the court sitting came the aforesaid Rich Walker in person and surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of his aforesaid steward the aforesaid lands and crofts called Simonds and Ballards to the use and behoof of the said Rich Walker and Ann his wife for their lifetimes and to the longer liver and after their decease to the use of the said Rich and his heirs forever upon which came here into court the aforesaid Rich and Ann and humbly sought admittance to whom the lord by the aforesaid steward granted and delivered thereof seisin by the rod to have the aforesaid lands and crofts with appurtenances to the aforesaid Rich Walker and Ann for their lifetimes and to the longer liver and after their decease to the said Rich and his heirs and assigns forever to hold from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the aforesaid manor by the rents services and customs thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and they gave to the lord their fine and made fealty and were admitted tenants
