and furthermore whereas at a view with court here held 24.10.1616 the aforesaid Jn Reade was admitted tenant of the lord for himself and his heirs to four crofts of land called Symonds and to another croft of land called Ballards as by a roll of the aforesaid court it is clearly shown now at this court it is shown by the homage that the aforesaid Jn Reade after the last court and before this court viz 7.12.1633 surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of Thos Jekall instead of the bailiff in the presence of Jas Pennocke and Dan Lea two customary tenants of the aforesaid manor the same testifying according to the custom of the aforesaid manor among other things the aforesaid crofts of land by names certain lands called Symonds and Ballards with appurtenances to the use and behoof of the aforesaid Rich Walker his heirs and assigns forever to whom the lord by the aforesaid steward granted and delivered thereof seisin by the rod to have to him and his heirs forever to hold from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the aforesaid manor by the rents services and customs thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and he gave to the lord his fine
