and furthermore if is shown by the homage that Thos Prior senior who surrendered certain customary lands called Lovelands to the use of Edw Creffeild upon condition of payment of certain sums of money at a certain day and place as by a roll of court bearing the date 1633 it is clearly shown paid the aforesaid sum of money according to the aforesaid condition and that afterwards after the last court viz on the day of this court the aforesaid Thos Prior surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of Jn Reade instead of the bailiff in the presence of Robt Crowe and Jas Pennocke two customary tenants of the aforesaid manor the aforesaid parcels of land called Loveland to the use of Edw Alliston of Earls Colne gentleman and his heirs forever upon the condition that if the aforesaid Thos Prior his heirs executors or assigns should pay or cause to be paid to the aforesaid Edw Alliston his executors of assigns the full and complete sum of 72li in or upon 24.1.next following the aforesaid surrender at the dwelling house of Thos Harlakenden in the aforesaid Earls Colne or should give other security that then the aforesaid surrender should be void and of no effect
