at this court it is shown by the homage that Thos Prior senior customary tenant of this manor after the last court and before this court viz 27.12.1638 above mentioned surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of Jn Reade instead of the bailiff in the presence of Rich Walker and Jas Pennocke two customary tenants of the aforesaid manor the same testifying according to the custom of the aforesaid manor one parcel of land called Lovelands alias Loveneyes or by whatever other name it is called with appurtenances containing by estimation 10a and now in the tenure or occupation of the said Thos Prior or his assigns and lying in Earls Colne to the use and behoof of Hen Ennewe of Coggeshall Magna clothier his heirs and assigns forever who present in court humbly sought admittance to whom the lord by the aforesaid steward granted and delivered thereof seisin by the rod to have and to hold the aforesaid parcel of land with appurtenances to the aforesaid Hen Ennewe his heirs and assigns from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the aforesaid manor by the rents services and customs thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and he gave to the lord for a fine and made fealty and was admitted tenant
